Writing Tips (Not Really)
I'm no professional when it comes to writing and I definitely do not hold a degree in it either. I never took any schooling to learn how to write, I was just always a natural at it. Honestly, I believe anyone can be if you love storytelling.
I loved writing ever since I was able to write my first words. It's a way for me to express myself. I love being able to let my mind wander into the realm of a fictional world but not too fictional. More like an alternate reality. I never pictured myself to actually publishing my work. A fun fact about me is...I was always a terrible speller. Yep, that's right. I failed every spelling test in telemetry school. I cheated once because I was tired of failing but of course, of was caught. Can't blame a girl for trying. My brain just doesn't remember the order of words. It has a fight with itself. I want to spell something by the way it sounds but then I try to picture the proper way to spell it. According to Batman, you can't dream words after all.
Despite these challenges I've always remained on top when it came to writing stories and essays in school. I was so fortunate to have the teachers I had. They told us not to focus on grammar and spelling, just to write, and that's what I did. Over time I did get better at basic spelling and grammar but THANK GOD for spell check today because back in the day they did not have that, I thought I was doomed for life!
Anyway, the advice I can give you is don't be afraid to write. Let your imagination shine and don't worry about what other people think. These days I'm a firm believer that reading and writing aren't as popular as they were before the Tic Tok era but for sure I hope it will make a comeback...hopefully before I'm 100 years old.
Not much when it comes to writing tips but at least you know a bit more about me. Enjoy reading Sarina Maxine so far? Guess what? I'm in the process of releasing two more chapters and then after that, there will be only 10 chapters left. OMG! I can't believe we are almost done. Well not quite, Sarina Maxine will continue. I wouldn't call this the first half of it but I would say this is the first book. I don't see myself dragging it out but I can't tell you how much longer it will run. Just stick around and continue supporting me.
